Valobat can help fund your take-back scheme for construction waste originating from your products
Have you implemented a direct take-back scheme for waste from your products or similar products, reintroducing them into your manufacturing process after a reuse or recycling operation? Under the Manufacturer contract, Valobat provides financial aid for your innovative scheme.
What kind of waste is covered by this contract?
All contributing waste streams falling under the Building EPR scheme are covered by the Manufacturer contract.
For example: floor coverings, insulation, carpets, glazed joinery…
Who can receive aid?
Any manufacturer who is a producer and a member of Valobat. For example:
- Manufacturers using reverse logistics to retrieve similar waste from installers’ sites (including installation offcuts and leftover materials) for in-house dismantling and recycling.
- Manufacturers who handle waste take-back of waste for their products, without in-house dismantling or recycling. In this scenario, the manufacturer entrusts an operator with collecting the waste, consolidating streams by region at a single site before reintroducing it into the production circuit;
Manufacturers who belong to an organisation (professional syndicate, group of companies, etc.) responsible for managing the waste collection of products from various manufacturers, stored at installers’ sites, and who outsource waste dismantling and channelling.
How does Valobat’s financial aid work?
Valobat offers a standard contract with a €/tonne aid scale for each sorted building waste stream.
Subject to certain conditions, as specified in the contract, such as the initiative’s performance and waste stream traceability, manufacturers receive the aid once they have declared the amount in tonnes of collected and recycled materials.
